Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains cancellations, refunds, and returns for orders placed through RentMyBooks. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Order cancellation

  • If you cancel before your order is confirmed for dispatch, we will cancel the order and refund any payment received, typically within 7–14 business days, using the original payment method where possible.
  • Once an order is dispatched, cancellation may not be possible; you may still be eligible for return or rental return procedures below.

2. Damaged, wrong, or missing items

If you receive a damaged book, the wrong title, or a missing item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order details. We will arrange a replacement, correction, or refund as appropriate.

3. Rental returns and deposits

  • Rental fees cover the agreed rental period. Late returns may incur additional charges as stated at checkout or in your order confirmation.
  • If a security deposit was collected, it will be refunded after we receive the book in acceptable condition, subject to deductions for damage, loss, or late return as disclosed before payment.

4. Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed within a reasonable time, usually 7–14 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider. We are not responsible for delays caused by banks or card networks.
